Xiamen cashes out rewards for e-commerce firms
To further boost Xiamen’s e-commerce industry, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Xiamen Municipal Finance Bureau approved and cashed 4.3 million yuan ($697,000) of incentive rewards for 15 internet retailing enterprises.
It is the first time that Xiamen has cashed its internet retailing rewards since the implementation of an incentive policy for Xiamen’s e-commerce.
The retail sales of the e-commerce enterprises in 2013 reached 3.6 billion yuan, which was double that of previous year.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
