The 2014 International Cooperation and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Service Forum, being an integral part of the 18th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), will be held on Sept 8 in Xiamen.
Local governments, industrial high-tech parks and the environmental protection industry will take part in this global M&A leadership dialogue, to get to know the global trend of emerging industries, look for ideal technologies and markets for regional development, and facilitate regional industrial transformation and upgrading.
Themed on “seizing the strategic opportunity of global technology transfer”, the forum will discuss the new model for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in China to engage in a new round of international M&As. It will also explain policies and approaches to seize the opportunity of international M&As and cooperation in global technology transfer, which will provide enterprises and governments with solutions to take the lead in the new round of development.
This forum will have a special high-end closed-door session, which will conduct direct and in-depth analysis of Chinese enterprises’ problems in progressing internationally, represent successful cases of international M&As, and aim to give the keys to success of international M&As to participants. Not surprisingly, the session has attracted the attention of numerous SMEs intending to develop international business after the release of the schedule.

This forum emphasizes key points for the trend of international M&As, and targets the core needs of regional transformation as well as innovation and upgrading of SMEs. It will be an event for enterprises, investors and strategists at home and abroad to carry out international M&As and strengthen cooperation.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
