Xiang'an cuisine wins laurels in Chinese Food Festival
Ajia “Duck with ginger”, a medicated cuisine from Xiang’an district, Xiamen, Fujian province won the gold prize at the 15th Chinese Food Festival held in Wuhan, in Central China's Hubei province from Sept 24 to 27.
The “International cuisine gold prize” is the top title for local cuisines in the festival, marking the first time for Xiang’an cuisine to rank first in the Chinese food festival.
Ajia “Duck with ginger” is one of Xiang’an’s specialties in building a national catering brand. The government will make a more concerted effort to promote local agricultural products and special cuisines.
Duck with ginger, a traditional cuisine in Fujian, has medical benefits. It protects heart and kidneys, and is ideal for eating in autumn and winter.
