Conglomerate boss richest female in Fujian, again
Huang Xi, chairwoman of the Good First Group in Fujian, defended her title of richest female entrepreneur in the province with 10-billion-yuan ($1.6 billion) worth of assets, according to a ranking list by the Hurun Research Institute on Oct 20.
Statistics show that the Good First Group’s main businesses cover finance, real estate and high technology.
Huang is the only one from Fujian on the list of the top 50 richest Chinese women, ranking 17th. Her 10-billion-yuan value, however, is down by 5 percent from last year.
Yang Huiyan, who owns the Guangdong-based property developer Country Garden, topped the list with a fortune of 44 billion yuan.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
