RVIA representatives visit Xiamen for future cooperation
The China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) is expected to expand its cooperation with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) from the US, concerning the co-hosting of a Sino-US summit and an exhibition of recreational vehicles during the 19th CIFIT, which will fall on Sept 8, 2015.
Richard Coon, the president of RIVA, and 3 entourages arrived in Xiamen on Nov 4 and received a cordial reception by Xiamen’s government officials, including Wang Qiongwen, director general of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs and Chen Guilin, deputy director general of Xiamen Tourism Bureau.
A preliminary discussion took place between the two parties regarding holding the recreational vehicle summit during the 19th CIFIT and a grand Sino-US recreation vehicle exhibition simultaneously, in the hope of establishing an effective platform for communication and learning from the advanced experience of the US, which owns a sophisticated recreational vehicle industry chain.
RVIA, founded in 1963, is the national trade association representing recreational vehicle manufacturers and their component parts suppliers. Nowadays, it has some 400 domestic members and carries enormous impact in the recreational vehicle markets in the US.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
