Xiamen products displayed in Taipei
An economic and trade delegation from Xiamen city and four provinces - Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Anhui - attended the 2014 Cross-Straits Building, Construction and Decoration Expo at the Taipei World Trade Center, Taiwan from Dec 11 to 14.
The expo set up 50 booths for Xiamen’s 25 enterprises in stone tools, gardening materials, bathroom accessories, original oil paintings, furniture and artworks.
The annual expo was inaugurated in 2006. It has opened 938 booths, about 70 percent of which are for enterprises in Xiamen over the past nine years.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
