Summit explores methods to transform Chinese time-honored brands
The summit themed on the methods of transforming Chinese time-honored brands held in Xiamen on Sept 19 as part of the 2017 CIFIT.
Representatives of Chinese entrepreneurs attended the summit and delivered keynote speeches on how to achieve better development during this era of Internet.
Ji Keliang from famous Chinese distillery Guizhou Maotai Liquor Factory delivered a speech titled History Tells the Future. Ji described the development of Maotai liquor and brought new thoughts and understandings in transforming and upgrading the time-honored brands to the attendees.
Wang Huacheng, president of Xiamen HuaFan Technology Company, discussed the methods to transform into a cross-border e-commerce company. He said that considering the advantages of high efficiency and low cost for cross-border e-commerce, traditional small- and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises can make breakthroughs in product positioning and marketing.
He Shiguang, vice-president of a traditional Chinese medicine company, believed that traditional Chinese medicine is the core of Chinese culture and it is also the essential competitiveness Chinese culture has to spread around the world.
He noted that it is particularly important for Chinese time-honored brands to make innovations in this new age.
During the free discussion, the guests discussed opportunities for the transformation of Chinese traditional brands, the difficulties these brands face in their development and how to improve their competitiveness.
The summit served as an important platform for Chinese time-honored brands to learn from e-commerce in a bid to upgrade these brands and keep pace with the development of the times.
