Xiamen sees closer links with Kinmen

A total of 13,018 vessel trips were made between Xiamen and Kinmen, an islet in Taiwan in 2018, transporting 1.745 million passengers in total, up 8.1 percent year-on-year, the latest statistics from the Xiamen port authorities show.

The passenger volume recorded is the largest since the route's inception in January of 2001. Currently, the monthly passenger volume stands at around 150,000 people for the route.
