The 2019 Xiamen Industry Exposition is slated to be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from April 12 to 15, according to a press conference recently.
The expo will feature a total exhibition area of 94,000 square meters, with 4,000 booths, showcasing the latest products covering the sectors of machine tools and equipment, intelligent manufacturing and smart logistics, said Wang Qiongwen, director of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Conference and Exhibition.

Notably, this year's fair will add a new section exhibiting intelligent networking and automobile.
Meanwhile, a series of forum are set to be held on its sidelines as well, with numerous cross-Straits experts and scholars discussing latest trends and policies.
Xiamen Industry Exposition, authorized by the Ministry of Commerce, has been held annually since 1997. The fair has now evolved into the largest and most influential economic and trade exchange event across the Taiwan Strait.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
