China's Belt and Road Initiative has brought numerous benefits to Serbia, said the country's Minister of Mines and Energy, Aleksandar Antic, who was speaking at the 2019 CIFIT on Sept 9.

In recent years, the governments of Serbia and China as well as their companies have sought new ways to develop bilateral economic and trade cooperation, he said.

Antic added that at present, a raft of Chinese new energy companies had shown interest in Serbia and he welcomed more Chinese companies to invest his country.
