Xiamen sees a stable development in IoT industry

Xiamen in East China's Fujian province saw a stable development in Internet of Things (IoT) industry last year, according to the recently-concluded annual meeting of the Xiamen IoT Industry Association.

From January to November in 2019, the main business revenue of IoT companies in Xiamen soared 11.35 percent year-on-year to 50.13 billion yuan ($7.22 billion) and the yearly revenue is expected to reach 55 billion yuan.

The list for the leading IoT companies in the city was published at the meeting, including Xindeco IoT, Leedarson, and Ropeok.

The launch ceremony for the annual event of 2020 IoT China was also inaugurated during the meeting. Zhao Shanren, head of the Xiamen IoT Industry Association, said that the event plans to help IoT companies in Xiamen to make exchanges and seek cooperation with other counterparts across China.

The annual meeting invited experts from Aliyun, Rohde & Schwarz, Unisound and other IoT companies to share their insights into 5G technology, integrated development between artificial intelligence and IoT and the role of IoT in the integrated development of the new economy.
