The coastal city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province has increased its support for the Ningxia Hui autonomous region in industry, employment, consumption, and talent in order to help it develop and eliminate poverty.

This year marks the 24th anniversary of the beginning of the paired assistance relationship between Fujian and Ningxia. The two places plan to help Ningxia's high-quality export products expand within the domestic market, providing a direct domestic sales channel for products originally produced as exports.

A special event aiming to promote Ningxia's high-quality products was held in Xiamen from Sept 25 to 27. It was attended by more than 100 Ningxia enterprises, which showcased their products.

Over 50 large supermarkets, starred hotels, and well known catering enterprises in Xiamen took part in the event in a bid to help Ningxia enterprises enter the Fujian market.

The event was held both online and offline in Fujian and Ningxia, and more than 40 export enterprises based in Fujian took part in the event in Yinchuan from Sept 17 to 21, showcasing Fujian products such as clothes, hats, shoes, ceramics, art, and furniture.

Over the past 24 years, cooperation between Fujian and Ningxia has become a model for the country's poverty relief efforts. The former has established a long-term cooperation mechanism to help Ningxia eliminate poverty and move forward with its development.
