The China International Advertising Festival (CIAF) will be held every year in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, according to a press conference held on Oct 28.
The 27th CIAF is set to take place in the city from Nov 14 to 17 and is meant to serve as a platform for the advertising industry to share resources and communicate.
Twelve forums are expected to be held during the festival. They will focus on global branding, media trends in China, brand innovation in China, educating advertising talent in China, and more.
The main International Creativity and Macro Development Forum will invite State leaders from the Administration for Market Regulation, the vice-chairman of the International Advertising Association, and directors of short-video platform Kuaishou, iQIYI, and Xiaomi to discuss how to boost new-type consumption, understand new marketing, and create new brands.
In addition, outstanding advertisements published this year will be rewarded at the festival.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
