Organized by the Education Department of Fujian Province and the Xiamen Municipal Government, the exhibition implemented the principle of "industries plus exhibitions" promoted by Xiamen authorities.
Moving forward, the city will explore similar exhibitions for 12 local industrial chains, each with an annual output of at least 100 billion yuan ($15.46 billion), in an effort to achieve high-quality development in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) industry.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
