Xiamen people's average income tops Fujian in H1

The city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province has significantly increased people's average income in the first half of this year. 

Statistics from a sample survey show that Xiamen registered 34,193 yuan ($5,128.95) in per-capita disposable income among households, an increase of 14.9 percent year-on-year, with the growth rate 2.3 percentage points higher than the national average. 

The per-capita disposable income of urban households in Xiamen was 35,357 yuan, up 13.5 percent year-on-year, surpassing China's national income growth rate by 2.1 percentage points. 

Meanwhile, the per-capita disposable income of rural households during the first six months of 2021 was 18,485 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.6 percent, which is 4 percentage points higher than the national average. 

Domestic consumption continues to scale up as well. In the first half of 2021, Xiamen's per-capita consumption expenditures reached 20,499 yuan with a year-on-year nominal growth rate of 16.5 percent.
