Twenty companies in Xiamen, Fujian province were recently selected for a pilot project on supply chain innovation and application.

The pilot project, which will last for two years, aims to deepen the national work on supply chain innovation and application, as well as improve the development of Xiamen's supply chain.

The 20 pilot companies were selected by the municipal bureau of commerce and Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone. They cover a wide range of industries such as the distribution companies of fruits and vegetables, medicines, and imported auto parts, manufacturing companies engaged in paper packaging, shoe and clothing production, and compound seasonings production, as well as platform companies that provide logistics and financial services.

Xiamen has piloted supply chain innovation and application since 2018, adding more than 2,000 supply chain companies.

Xiamen was included in the first batch of 10 demonstration cities for national supply chain innovation and application by the Ministry of Commerce on July 13.
