Philippines to bring investment resources to CIFIT
The 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade will be held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.
As the guest country of honor, the Philippines will set up a 420-square-meter exhibition area to showcase the country's investment climate, opportunities, and current policies, offering one-stop investment and trade services for investors and displaying many high-quality products with local characteristics.
A promotion conference for the Philippines will be held on the sidelines of CIFIT. During the conference, the Philippine delegation will release the latest preferential policies for investment and key projects.
The delegation will also hold a special conference for the construction industry and publish the financing projects in the sector.
Philippine Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said that the country will bring its "Make It Happen in the Philippines" campaign to the international fair with the aim of attracting investments in manufacturing, hyperscalers, innovation and digital technologies, agribusiness, real estate development, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
"More than just a one-stop-shopping service for multilateral investment cooperation, CIFIT will also help you to select from the widest range of investment projects and business partners from around the world," Lopez added.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
