Five enterprises from Xiamen, Fujian province were included on the list of top 500 Chinese enterprises, which was jointly released by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association on Sept 25.

The ranking was based on the business income of the top 500 enterprises in 2020.

Among the five Xiamen enterprises, three were ranked among the top 100, which were Xiamen C&D Inc, which ranked 47th with 442.37 billion yuan ($68.41 billion), Xiamen ITG Holding Group Co, which ranked 56th with 402.13 billion yuan, as well as Xiamen Xiangyu Group, which ranked 60th with 374.84 billion yuan.

Xiamen Road and Bridge Engineering Material Co ranked 352nd with 57.31 billion yuan, while Shengtun Mining ranked 500th with 39.24 billion yuan.

Among the 500 enterprises, State Grid Corporation of China topped the list, followed by the China National Petroleum Corporation, and the China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation.

According to the list, the combined operating revenues of the top 500 enterprises reached 89.83 trillion yuan in 2020, up 4.43 percent compared to that in the previous year. In addition, the revenue threshold of the top 500 Chinese enterprises increased by 3.28 billion yuan from a year ago to 39.24 billion yuan.
