Xiamen firms cooperate with multinational enterprises at CIIE

Xiamen Xiangyu Co has established cooperation agreements with multinational corporations like Archer Daniels Midland Company, Bunge, Olam, Tyson Foods, and Eureka International Group to build a variety of agricultural supply channels globally to meet the needs of the domestic market.
During CIIE, the municipal bureau of commerce, districts, and development zones in Xiamen have also formed investment teams to carry out precise matchmaking activities with other CIIE exhibitors, to target companies in Shanghai and surrounding areas, and to deepen cooperation with multinational enterprises like Schneider Electric, Philips, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Varian.
The Xiamen trading delegation has also carried out various promotion and investment attracting activities at professional exhibitions and forums during CIIE to cultivate new cooperation opportunities.
For instance, the Xiamen area of the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone gave an introduction of the area's construction, development, and innovation, as well as the development of its key industries and supporting policies at a promotional matchmaking meeting on the Fujian FTZ and the integrated development of Fujian and Taiwan industries.

As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
