Xiamen overseas investment reaches $4.41b in 2021

Statistics showed that in 2021, Xiamen in Fujian province invested 127 projects overseas in 23 countries with an agreed investment amounted to $4.41 billion, up 210.9 percent from 2020.
Of which, Chinese investment was $1.48 billion, up 39.2 percent from 2020.
In which, 30 projects were invested in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (mainly in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations), with a total agreed investment amounted to $78.34 million, and covering industries like manufacturing, wholesale, and retails in 2021.
By the end of 2021, Xiamen's total overseas investment projects added up to 1,708, and the total overseas investment reached $26.49 billion, in which Chinese investment was $17.93 billion.
