A direct flight loaded with clothing, shoes and hats, sports goods, and hardware and auto parts took off from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and flew to Los Angeles, California in the United States on July 12, marking the first Xiamen-Los Angeles e-commerce air express line operated by Cainiao, a leading logistics company.
This express line carries 40 tons per flight, which operates every Tuesday and Saturday night and arrives in Los Angeles on the same day.
As Cainiao contacts about the arrival in advance, a series of operations such as fast unloading, unpacking and sorting are carried out once the plane lands, providing cross-border e-commerce companies with a 24-hour overseas logistics experience that enables "extremely fast pick-ups".
Cainiao's overseas "extremely fast pick-ups" service can save six hours or more for customers and simplifies the process of second loading, unloading and transshipment of goods, which greatly reduces the cost for customers.
The opening of Xiamen-Los Angeles e-commerce air express route improves the logistics efficiency for cross-border e-commerce companies and manufacturers, enabling more companies to go global at a lower cost and more efficiently, according to a manager of Cainiao.
