BRICS industrial expo to open in Xiamen

The 2022 BRICS Exhibition on New Industrial Revolution is scheduled to be held from Sept 7 to 11, along with the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center in Xiamen, which is located in East China's Fujian province.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation and the Xiamen Municipal People's Government.
It is intended to serve as a high-end economic and trade service platform for technological exchanges, trade matchmakings, and displaying achievements. It will also support the high-quality development of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center in Xiamen and speed up the industrial transformation and upgrading of BRICS countries.
Compared with the previous two events, this year's exhibition has a larger exhibition area of 15,000 square meters and will feature a wide range of fields including information and communications, scientific and technological innovation, new energy vehicles, finance, energy materials, aviation and aerospace, food consumption, and biomedicine.
More than 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors are expected to take part in the exhibition, including over 10 Fortune Global 500 companies and 50 industrial leaders.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
