Another RCEP route opens at Xiamen Port
This year, Xiamen Port has enjoyed great development as shipping routes to countries involved in Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are up and running and being consistently upgraded.
On Dec 5, the MARLA BULL, which operates on the Southeast Asia Route CT3 under ZIM Integrated Shipping Ltd (ZIM), made its maiden voyage to Xiamen Port after delivering seafood and vegetables to Laem Chabang and Bangkok in Thailand and Haiphong, Vietnam. The route is intended to better serve vegetable and seafood exports in Southeast Asia.

As an important partner of Xiamen Port, ZIM supports Xiamen Port's development as an international transit hub, and based on the strategic cooperation of empty container transportation project, the export volume of empty containers this year has far exceeded last year's total. ZIM plans to continue to optimize trade routes and further strengthen the international transit business at Xiamen Port in the future.
Focusing on the development of RCEP routes, Xiamen continues to give full play to the locational advantages of the Maritime Silk Road and to improve its service capabilities to enhance the high-quality development of Xiamen.
