Xiamen establishes overseas focal points
The launch ceremony of the Hailian Reception Hall of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce kicked off on Dec 15 in Xiamen. At the event, the first batch of the five focal points in Brazil, Japan, Thailand, India and Singapore was established.
The establishment of the focal points is intended to meet the demands for Xiamen enterprises that want to expand their businesses, bridge the gap between enterprises and their overseas branches, and to provide personalized services for them.

At the event, Queensview (Xiamen) PTE, a company that helped establish the focal point in Singapore, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Panpan Foods.
Thanks to the long-lasting bond between Singapore and Xiamen's Jimei district, which is known as a region with millions of overseas Chinese residents, the focal point in Singapore invited a great number of leading enterprises to exchange international business expansion ideas.
During the ceremony, Pan Xianping, the person in charge of the focal point in Singapore, explained the business environment in Singapore in terms of the economy, education and key industries and highlighted the business opportunities in Southeast Asia's markets.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
