Annual China Supply Chain Management Conference opens in Xiamen
The 3rd edition of the annual China supply chain management conference opened in Xiamen on Dec 22.

The conference was held both online and offline and there were 500 participants making appearances in person and more than 3,000 attendees participated online during the event.
At the conference, hot topics, including the innovation, application and digitization of the supply chain aroused heated discussions and idea exchanges centered on national strategies and the innovation of enterprises, and received intense appraisal from the industry and the press.
Created by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the conference is a high-level platform integrating industries, universities and research teams for the development of the supply chain.
After years of development, the conference has helped cultivate a great number of supply chain management talents and contributed to the academic research and international communications in the supply chain sector.
A book detailing the knowledge of a supply chain management professional (SCMP) was formally released at the conference. Six criteria, including layout, capabilities and effect, are provided in the book to assess the maturity of an enterprise's smart supply chain.
At the same time, the 3rd edition of the National Supply Chain Competition (enterprise group) awards ceremony was also held. The competition, which had attracted 70 teams to compete for the top prize, finished on Dec 21.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
