Xiamen's service outsourcing soars 35.9% during Jan-Nov period
From January to November in 2022, Xiamen's firms signed service outsourcing contracts worth about 64.57 billion yuan ($9.54 billion), up 35.9 percent year-on-year.
The executed contract value came in at 38.57 million yuan during the period, with a year-on-year increase of 51 percent year-on-year.
The offshore contracted service value hit 26.8 billion yuan, an increase of 22.4 percent year-on-year, and the executed contract value stood at 18.51 billion yuan, up 35.1 percent year-on-year.
The offshore executed contract value of information technology outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) rose 20 percent, 50 percent and 9.9 percent, respectively, year-on-year.
In terms of the international market, offshore executed service outsourcing with the United States, the European Union, and China's Hong Kong accounted for 72.5 percent of the total. Offshore contracted service outsourcing and executed service outsourcing rose 31.8 percent and 29.4 percent, respectively, year-on-year.
Private enterprises gathered 13.9 percent of the total executed service outsourcing value. Offshore service outsourcing undertaken by foreign-invested enterprises accounted for 37 percent of the total, a year-on-year increase of 15.7 percent.
Furthermore, by the end of November 2022, Xiamen's service outsourcing industry had recruited a total of 238,000 employees, among which 140,000 have a college degree or above, accounting for 58.8 percent of the total.
