Xiamen enterprises race to overseas exhibitions
According to the statistics recently released by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, from January to February, a total of 104 Xiamen enterprises flocked to 16 exhibitions that were held overseas, with the value of potential orders reaching 560 million yuan ($80.3 million).
This year, to support enterprises to hunt for deals overseas, an activity giving a significant amount of subsidies to exhibitors has taken place in Xiamen.
Liu Jinwen, general-manager of Velland said that the company has yielded fruitful results after attending four exhibitions. Presently, they are making contact with a total of 16 clients, among which, six have started cooperating with them, and two have made plans to visit their factory in Xiamen.
According to Jiang Wenjing, general-manager of Xiamen Xikai Exhibition Co, an exhibition recently wrapped up in Las Vegas, and a number of Xiamen exhibitors received money up front from clients on the spot.

Thanks to the financial support given by the city's bureau of commerce, Xiamen enterprises have been showing surging enthusiasm to attend overseas exhibitions. Some exhibitions that are expected to be held in the second half of this year have already attracted many Xiamen enterprises to sign up for them.
