Fujian cuisine restaurant gains recognition
According to the newly-released list by 2023 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, Meet the Bund in Shanghai ranks 89th among Asia 51-100 restaurants for the first time, which is the first Fujian cuisine restaurant in the list.
The restaurant is affiliated with YANYU, a famous local catering group in Xiamen. Compared with Meeting the Bund, Xiamen locals are more familiar with its other subsidiary restaurants such as YANYU and MR RONG.
Meet the Bund has once again been recognized by the global catering industry as a high-end restaurant after winning the Michelin One Star and Black Pearl Two Diamonds, becoming the first Fujian cuisine restaurant to be added to the three major lists.
In recent years, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce has taken various measures to hold food activities for its citizens. Next, the bureau plans to cooperate with well-known catering enterprises to promote the establishment of Michelin restaurants in Xiamen. At the same time, it also intends to roll out policies to cultivate a group of high-quality Xiamen restaurants to promote Xiamen cuisine globally.
