Xiamen-Sao Paulo cross-border e-commerce flight promotes trade exchanges
Due to the growing demand for cross-border e-commerce in China and Brazil, the Xiamen-Sao Paulo cross-border e-commerce flight, which is the first special flight for BRICS cities in China, has exported over 1 million parcels.
The flight has been selling out fast since its opening on Feb 10.
According to Xiamen Customs statistics, as of now, the flight has carried 1,859 tons of imports and exports, of which 1.08 million cross-border e-commerce parcels have been exported, and the export loading rate is as high as 100 percent.
The flight mainly exports various cross-border e-commerce products, pharmaceutical products, high-tech products, integrated circuits and other high-value goods, and the imported goods are mainly fresh food such as seafood and fruits.
The Boeing 777F cargo plane, which is expected to fly more than 300 flights in the next three years, is the aircraft for the route. In order to ensure convenient customs clearances of goods, Xiamen Customs has rolled out convenient measures including regional circulation of goods to ensure the entry of goods without delay and boost the high-quality development of economic and trade exchanges between China and Brazil.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
