The 133rd Canton Fair concluded on May 5, witnessing the participation of 381 Xiamen companies, excluding subsidiaries, who occupied a total of 1,571 booths.

Of these participants, 93 Xiamen businesses took part in Phase 1, setting up 202 booths, while 198 companies attended Phase 2 with 656 booths, and 164 enterprises were present in Phase 3, boasting 713 booths.

Preliminary statistics from the Xiamen chamber of commerce for imports and exports indicate that Xiamen companies experienced substantial success at this edition of the Canton Fair, achieving a total transaction volume of $211.65 million across all three phases. This number surpasses the total from three years ago.

The transaction volume reflects a 10.6 percent increase compared to the 126th Canton Fair, held in October 2019, which marked the last on-site edition before the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, it denotes an 8.69 percent increase compared to the 125th Canton Fair, held in April 2019.

At this edition of the Canton Fair, Xiamen International Trade Group Co showcased its largest exhibition area yet, highlighting the fair's role as a window for China's global engagement and promoting international trade. This event enables companies to secure orders, expand markets, and stabilize their exports.

Subsidiaries of Xiamen International Trade Group, covering textiles, non-ferrous metals and minerals, paper, and the health industry, were also in attendance. With over 50 booths distributed across various exhibition areas, including home goods, maternity and baby supplies, sports and leisure goods, shoes, and bags, these subsidiaries presented their high-quality, diverse products, which earned accolades from global buyers.
