First national game export platform insurance policy lands in Xiamen
In order to further promote the export of Xiamen's culture and enhance the international competitiveness of its gaming export enterprises, as well as reduce the risks and costs of expanding overseas, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in collaboration with the Xiamen branch of Sinosure, has established a unified insurance platform for game exports.
This marks the first specialized insurance service for game exports, resulting in the country's first-ever platform insurance policy for game exports. This initiative provides insurance services for overseas accounts receivable of Mechanist Games, a key player in the national cultural export sector.
The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce has been actively leveraging the vital role of credit insurance as a policy tool. In recent years, it has closely collaborated with the Xiamen branch of Sinosure, conducting in-depth research on the development of the service trade sector and enterprise needs.
In 2023, the Xiamen branch of Sinosure underwrote nearly $25 billion in exports and investment, with the amount of underwriting for new business formats reaching $27.4 billion. Cross-border e-commerce business increased by 33.9 percent and service trade underwriting grew by 221 percent.
The landing of the export credit insurance policy for the gaming industry not only provides strong support for the internationalization of Xiamen's gaming industry but also represents a new initiative in the innovative development of service trade in Xiamen.
