On March 27, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in collaboration with Alipay, visited the Preparatory Education College of Huaqiao University (HQU), where students from Brazil, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and other countries, who had just started school less than a month ago, experienced the convenience of mobile payments in Xiamen.

Alipay's professional technical staff explained how to register and use the app to international students of the Preparatory Education College of HQU and answered any questions they had.

During the testing process, international students were able to use mobile payments at various places, including convenience stores and dining establishments. They could either use Alipay's "bind foreign card" feature or directly use overseas e-wallet applications such as TrueMoney and Touch'n Go eWallet.

HQU National Language Service Export Base is among the first group of national characteristic service export bases to be recognized by the Ministry of Commerce. Every year, students from all over the world come here to study and exchange ideas.

For foreign nationals studying in China, mobile payment is very convenient. The international students who are in the city for short-term exchanges don't even need to apply for a domestic mobile phone number or open a bank account in China. They can simply use a QR code to meet their daily needs. 

Xiamen welcomes foreign nationals to experience the convenience of mobile payment.
