During the May Day holiday, Xiamen Port was a hive of activity, operating at full capacity. Ocean-going vessels docked at the port with the assistance of tugboats, while along the dockside colorful containers were stacked layer by layer by towering gantry cranes, as various transport vehicles came and went.

In recent days, well-known shipping companies such as MSC, Maersk, and Hapag-Lloyd, have been sending an endless stream of container ships to the port, many of which are "cargo kings" with a capacity of over 150,000 metric tons, reflecting the vitality of Xiamen's outward-oriented economy.

The domestic container shipping market has also performed well, highlighting the core competitiveness of Xiamen Port as a hub for domestic container transportation.

Production data shows that from May 1 to 5, Xiamen Container Terminal Group's various terminals received a total of 106 mainline container vessels, handling approximately 120,000 TEUs of container throughput.

Currently, Xiamen Port's container transportation business is stable and improving, with its resource allocation capabilities in the global industrial and supply chain continuing to improve. This promotes the connection between domestic and international markets in Xiamen.
