During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce launched the "2024 Xiamen Consumption Festival", featuring a series of events under the theme "Joyful Dragon Boat Festival, Citywide Enjoyment". 

A total of 102 large-scale events and major promotional activities, including trade-in promotions for consumer goods and a summer carnival to boost consumption, created a festive atmosphere throughout the city.

Intangible cultural heritage items such as bamboo weaving, Dragon Boat Festival fairs, and traditional headdress zanhua were among the highlights. During the holiday, over 50 engaging activities were hosted across various commercial districts in Xiamen.

Xiamen's consumer market was bursting with international flair and youthful energy. On June 6, Tiffany & Co opened its first boutique in the region at Xiamen MixC mall, which set a new opening-day sales record. In addition to local consumers, the boutique also attracted many residents from surrounding cities.

Festivals featuring green and low-carbon activities were also highly popular in Xiamen. At Paragon Center, the mall introduced an empty bottle recycling program, a sustainability-themed park, and garden outdoor movie screenings. 

Additionally, leveraging well-known IPs, some malls hosted a variety of events targeting young people, including Saturday music parties.

Xiamen also launched over 20 large-scale events focusing on the trade-in of home appliances, furniture, and automobiles during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
