Xiamen adds new cargo route to USA

The FedEx FX5161 flight recently took off from Xiamen Airport, made a stopover in Incheon, South Korea, and then continued on to Anchorage, the United State. This marks the official launch of the Xiamen-Incheon-Anchorage international cargo route, further expanding the global air logistics network.
The route will be operated every Saturday by the Boeing B777F cargo plane starting June 8. This is also the first cargo route to Anchorage opened by FedEx in Xiamen.
This new route provides greater capacity for customers in Xiamen and Fujian province, reducing the number of transit points from the previous two to three to just one on the Xiamen-Anchorage route. This will shorten transportation time for customers exporting parcels and heavy goods to North America.
This year, Xiamen Airport has launched six new cargo routes to destinations such as Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, and Atlanta. The Xiamen Airport currently operates a total of 41 international passenger and cargo routes.
In the future, efforts will be made to introduce passenger flights from Xiamen to regions such as the Middle East, Australia, and Africa, as well as to increase the frequency of cargo routes to North America. The aim is to develop Xiamen into an international aviation hub, enhancing its attractiveness to international investors.
