The Ministry of Commerce and five other ministries recently released the list of key activities and projects for the "Qianfan Chuhai" (Chinese culture going overseas) initiative in 2024, with three items recommended by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce making the list.

They are the China International Film and Animation Dubbing Industry Platform, the 2024 Chinese Publication Exhibition Tour in Southeast Asia, and the "Haiyun" Outstanding Cultural Video Overseas Promotion Project.

The dubbing industry platform provides a full chain of digital production and networked dissemination services for audio products, aiming to expand the overseas trade of Chinese cultural products and enhance the international communication capabilities of audio products.

The Exhibition Tour takes the form of physical exhibitions and online cloud negotiations, arranging for Chinese publishing institutions to showcase the latest Chinese-themed books and key copyright books in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other Southeast Asian countries.

The "Haiyun" platform gathers outstanding domestic cultural works and establishes overseas accounts by optimizing content to create a dissemination matrix. It comprehensively utilizes technologies such as big data to provide full-chain cultural export services, including operational empowerment, copyright protection, multilingual translation, and dissemination analysis for these accounts.

Xiamen has always attached great importance to foreign cultural trade, and since being designated as a national cultural export base in 2018, the city's cultural exports have made significant achievements.
