Xiamen Port added a new direct shipping route to the West Coast of the United States, with a travel time of about 15 days, to reach the Port of Long Beach in California, making it one of the shortest transportation routes between the two ports. 

As of now, Xiamen Port has a total of 19 routes to the US, with 11 of them serving the West Coast.

The TS BANGKOK vessel, carrying out the inaugural voyage of the new route, departed fully loaded from the Hairun Terminal of Xiamen Port on Aug 15.

The Port of Long Beach is the second busiest container port in the US. In June, Xiamen Port established a friendly port relationship with it. 

They plan to engage in long-term and consistent exchanges and cooperation in various areas such as trade development, infrastructure development and ecological conservation, aiming to promote mutual prosperity and development.

Under the plan, shipping operator TS Lines will deploy five vessels of 20,000-ton container capacity to exclusively operate the AWC2 West America route. The route will operate once a week, providing a more efficient and convenient service for merchants to expedite shipments. 

In addition, TS Lines maintains operations in Xiamen Port for the Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Middle East routes. In the future, the shipping line also plans to open a Mexico route.
