At the opening ceremony of the 5th China Supply Chain Management Annual Conference held in Xiamen during the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, Chris Oanda, president of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), delivered a speech via video, during which he announced that the 2025 IFPSM World Summit will be held in Xiamen.

The IFPSM is an international alliance composed of procurement associations from 44 countries and regions worldwide. The IFPSM World Summit is an annual global forum organized by IFPSM, serving as a crucial platform for global procurement and supply chain management professionals to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Xiamen's solid supply chain infrastructure, favorable policies, and comprehensive resources have been attracting more organizers of supply chain activities to hold their events in the city.

With over 23,000 supply chain-related enterprises operating in Xiamen, the city boasts a strong foundation for supply chain development. The city's three major state-owned enterprises, C&D Group, ITG Holding Group, and XMXYG, are among the top four supply chain operators in the country.

By leveraging a combination of fiscal policies and financial tools, the Xiamen Supply Chain Collaboration Fund, with a scale of 10 billion yuan ($1.42 billion), is providing discounted interest rate financing services to supply chain enterprises.

In its latest policy initiatives, Xiamen put forward the goal of creating three major supply chain centers: the national key industry chain resource allocation center, the innovation center, and the financial service center. The aim is to accelerate the convergence of supply chain resources and elements in Xiamen.
