During the National Day holiday, Xiamen launched more than 130 exciting consumer promotion activities. The government and enterprises worked together to provide subsidies, ignite the National Day consumer market, and offer discounts and holiday gifts such as trade-in programs to benefit residents.

Both foot traffic and sales in the 14 business districts of Xiamen doubled. The growth rates of several major shopping malls exceeded the double digits, with some experiencing a nearly 40-percent year-on-year increase in foot traffic.

Xiamen Joy City, Tong'an Aegean, and SM Wong Street opened their doors to the public before the National Day holiday, attracting over four million visitors in total. The opening of these new shopping centers has brought a fresh consumer experience. 

Hundreds of brands debuted in Xiamen, with nearly 400 new stores opening in just three newly unveiled shopping centers, many of which were the first stores in Fujian and Xiamen.

During the National Day holiday, the "2024 Xiamen Automotive, Home Appliances, Home Furnishings, and Kitchen and Bath Trade-in for New" event, organized by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, continued as part of the renewal season of the 2024 Xiamen Consumer Festival. 

The "trade-in for new" policy continued to gain momentum, injecting new vitality into green consumption in the Xiamen consumer market and leading to increased foot traffic for major automotive, home decoration, and kitchen and bath enterprises.
