The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued a public notice on Oct 9 proposing the addition of 23 "Xiamen time-honored brands". The 23 newly proposed Xiamen time-honored brands involve various sectors such as catering, jewelry, culture, chemicals, daily necessities, and more.

Among these 23 brands, some are well-known brands familiar to Xiamen residents, such as "Huang Jin Xiang", "Gulang Island", and "Xiamen City Hotel". Some of them are also "China Time-Honored Brands", with many brands having a history of over 100 years. For example, the "Huang Jin Xiang" brand was founded in the 22nd year of the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1842) and has a history of 182 years.

In November of last year, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce took the lead in issuing the "Management Measures for the Recognition of Xiamen Time-Honored Brands" and initiated the application process for a new batch of time-honored brands in Xiamen.

To apply for designation as a Xiamen Time-Honored Brand, a brand must have a history of at least 30 years, showcasing Xiamen's strong emphasis on brand heritage and continuity.

The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce simultaneously released a public announcement regarding the 100 existing "Xiamen time-honored brands" that are currently under review. This marks the first time Xiamen has conducted a review of its existing "Time-Honored Brands," demonstrating its desire to more dynamically manage these traditional brands.
