Xiamen shines with record participation in Canton Fair

The 136th China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as the Canton Fair, opened in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, on Oct 15, with over 30,000 import and export enterprises showcasing 1.15 million new products, with both figures showing significant growth compared to the previous session.
The 136th Canton Fair is being held in three phases from Oct 15 to Nov 4. The phases focus on the themes of advanced manufacturing, quality home furnishings, and better living, respectively.
The Xiamen delegation saw 110 companies participating in the first phase, 288 companies participating in the second phase, and 302 companies participating in the third phase, with a record 700 companies participating.
Meanwhile, Xiamen companies had 1,861 booths at this year's fair , including 365 brand booths covering categories such as household appliances, consumer electronics, building decoration materials, medical products and devices, gifts and giveaways, ceramic crafts, luggage, shoes, sportswear, casual wear, and more.
