The first Google Cross-border E-commerce Acceleration Center officially opened at Sea World in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone on Oct 15.

The center was jointly developed by local departments such as the Xiamen FTZ Administration Committee. It is a key project in cross-border e-commerce that leverages the advantages of local service providers to such as Yuguo.

Arlene Ang, managing director of Google Customer Solutions in Greater China, stated that Google's main reason for establishing the center in Xiamen was the city's strong industrial foundation, Google's long-term investment in the city, and the strong support of local partners.

She hopes that the center, combined with Xiamen's existing advantages, will promote the development of local cross-border e-commerce, helping more companies in Xiamen and surrounding areas enter the global market.

The acceleration center is meant to address the difficulty of getting started for e-commerce exclusive website sellers, as well as challenges in recruiting talent and overseas operations.

In recent years, Xiamen has implemented a series of policy measures to promote the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce and facilitate cross-border trade, introducing and nurturing a number of well-known cross-border e-commerce companies.
