China's comprehensive internet enterprise index was revealed, along with a list of China's top 100 enterprises in terms of comprehensive internet strength, during a conference hosted by the Internet Society of China in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Oct 17.
Four Xiamen-based companies made the list, highlighting Xiamen as a city with distinctive software strengths. The companies are Meitu Inc (ranking 34th), 4399 Network Co Ltd (ranking 46th), G-bits Network Technology (Xiamen) Co Ltd (ranking 53rd), and new-timer Xiamen Zhonglian Century Co Ltd (ranking 96th).
The conference also released two sub-lists. Xiamen-based Zhuyun Zongheng Technology Co Ltd, Weiyun Network Technology Co Ltd, and Seal Information Technology Co Ltd were included among the top 20 growing Chinese internet enterprises of 2024, while Xiamen Meiya Pico Information Co Ltd was included among the top 20 Chinese network security enterprises of 2024.
In recent years, Xiamen has developed three major characteristic advantage areas — game development, internet platforms, and industry applications, attracting a group of leading enterprises with high market share and strong innovation in business models.
Meanwhile, the conference created a platform for communication and sharing, expanding Xiamen's cooperation with leading domestic internet enterprises.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
