Twenty-three newly recognized Xiamen time-honored brands and 100 re-evaluated Xiamen time-honored brands became the focus of attention on Nov 22, when they were granted plaques and the right to use the "Xiamen Time-Honored Brand" logo.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of a nearly-one-year-long effort by five departments, including the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, to recognize a new batch of Xiamen time-honored brands and re-evaluate existing ones, in accordance with the Xiamen time-Honored brand recognition and management measures.
At the event, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce presented several organizations with copies of the directory of Xiamen time-honored brands, compiled and published by the bureau.
The directory includes all 130 time-honored brands in Xiamen, providing brief introductions on their founding dates, founders, main products, craftsmanship, services, and development histories. The publication of this directory serves to authenticate and preserve the true essence of these time-honored brands, while also aiding in their promotion and publicity.
The standard design of the "Xiamen Time-Honored Brand" logo was also showcased at the event. The logo is based on ancient seal script, organically combining the Chinese characters for "Xiamen" and "brand". The font used is traditional seal script, and the logo integrates both Chinese and English elements in an effort to showcase Chinese traditional culture while also adding an international flair.
The Time-Honored Brands Carnival was simultaneously held, with nearly 40 exhibitors from Xiamen's time-honored brands showcasing a wide array of high-quality products.
