The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), will be held in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Sept 8 to 11 this year.

On April 17, the Organizing Committee held the first promotion symposium in Beijing. Nearly a hundred representatives from embassies in China, overseas investment institutions from 21 countries and regions including the United Kingdom, Hungary, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Japan, the Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Brazil, Malaysia, and Jordan, as well as international organizations, domestic and foreign business associations, enterprises, and media attended the meeting.

The UK is the guest country of honor at this year's CIFIT, while Jiangsu is the guest province of honor. Their representatives each delivered investment presentations.

This year's fair highlighted "two-way investment", "financial capital", "international cooperation", and the "integration of exhibitions and negotiations".

It will focus on the three main areas — "Invest in China", "Chinese Investment", and "International Investment," setting up differently themed professional exhibition areas and organizing various policy release seminars, project matchmaking sessions, and other investment cooperation activities.

As one of China's major platforms aimed at boosting the country's level of openness to the world, the CIFIT will usher in a new chapter of cooperation and mutual benefit. This year, as a flagship exhibition of "Invest in China", the fair will further expand its circle of friends.

Additionally, during the 25th CIFIT, a series of forums and exchange activities will be held concurrently, including the 2025 International Investment Forum and the 2025 Gulangyu Forum.

In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
