The launch ceremony of the national textile and apparel matchmaking event, part of the Premium Export Products China Tour, was held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center on April 24.
The event attracted over 500 exhibitors from across China, including more than 50 Xiamen-based companies occupying over 200 booths. The exhibition showcased a wide range of products, such as textiles, garments, and fabrics. It also drew numerous domestic and international buyers, as well as foreign trade enterprises, creating a vibrant platform for business connections and collaboration opportunities.
At the same time, Xiamen unveiled the "Amoy Brand" exhibition area, featuring six themed zones including, outdoor and leisure, lingerie and fabrics, and sportswear and functional apparel. This area highlighted 26 leading export brands and two e-commerce platform enterprises.
The "Amoy Brand" website has emerged as a star attraction at the exhibition, serving as Xiamen's premier digital gateway to showcase its competitive industrial clusters.
This innovative platform not only empowers local enterprises in global expansion with their specialty products, but also actively partners with domestic e-commerce giants like Alibaba to create an integrated trade ecosystem, bridging export-oriented brands with domestic sales channels for premium export goods.
Currently, the platform has hosted nearly 170 premium brands and features over 9,000 listed products.
The event also brought together purchasing executives from over 40 leading e-commerce platforms and retailers, including JD.com, Tmall, and Taobao. Focused on Xiamen's traditional strength sectors, the program featured dedicated face-to-face matchmaking sessions with one-to-one procurement meetings.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
