The 20th West-Taiwan-Strait Auto Expo (ATS) will be held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center from June 27 to 30. With the theme "20 Years of ATS: Leading the Future of Mobility", this year's expo promises a mid-year extravaganza integrating automotive technology, trendy lifestyles, and exclusive benefits for visitors.
The event will gather nearly 100 automotive brands, covering luxury, new energy, domestic, and joint-venture vehicles, offering a one-stop showcase of the latest industry trends and innovations.
The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce is actively advancing vehicle scrappage and replacement initiatives to stimulate the local automotive market. Under the policy, individual consumers who scrap designated used vehicles and purchase eligible new vehicles will receive a one-time subsidy ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 yuan ($2087-2783). For those who trade in qualifying used cars for new ones, a subsidy of 13,000 to 15,000 yuan will be provided.
In addition, automakers, dealerships, and major banks have joined the effort by offering direct discounts and low-interest financing, enabling consumers to purchase their desired vehicles at more affordable prices. This multi-party collaboration aims to boost car sales and support sustainable market development.
This year's expo will include a dedicated memory lane exhibition, showcasing rare historical footage that chronicles the evolution of the automotive industry.
The 2025 ATS New Energy Vehicle Aftermarket Industry Forum and Exhibition, a premier industry event featuring seven keynote speeches and gathering over 200 charging infrastructure enterprises, will also be held. Attendees will gain insights into the latest government policies on infrastructure support while fostering collaboration and partnerships within the sector.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
