The Xiamen Association for Development Promotion of Multinational Corporations, a major platform offering comprehensive services for overseas business in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian province, convened its re-election meeting and the first general assembly of its second session on Aug 7.

Participants in the meeting summarized the association's achievements and made plans for future development. They sought to better align the growth trajectories of multinational companies in Xiamen, aiming to inject fresh momentum into the city's high-quality economic development.

As the heart of the comprehensive service system established by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce for overseas expansion, the association has consistently focused on the global development needs of enterprises, assisting companies in advancing the globalization of supply and industrial chains. It plays a crucial role in bridging enterprises with the government, service providers, and other enterprises.

During the meeting, the new president, vice presidents, secretary-general, and deputy secretaries-general were elected by the members of the second-term council, and the new supervisor was confirmed by the members of the second supervisory board.

Lin Mao, the newly appointed president of the association and chairman of Xiamen C&D Inc, expressed his commitment to leading members in actively carrying out various initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanges among multinational companies.

Addressing the meeting, Chen Min, the Party secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, emphasized that in this new phase, the association should fully leverage its role supporting government-enterprise communication and facilitate companies' overseas expansion.

Chen urged the association to adopt a broader perspective and more practical measures to build an international service platform, establish a global cooperation network, and improve the service support system.
