700 Xiamen enterprises shine at 138th Canton Fair

The 138th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is being held in three phases from Oct 15 to Nov 4 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. This session set new records in terms of scale, with a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, 74,600 booths, and over 32,000 participating enterprises.
The first phase, running from Oct 15 to 19 under the theme "Advanced Manufacturing", broadly incorporates elements of the new quality productive forces in its exhibition categories. It focuses on cutting-edge fields such as the "new three" sectors of photovoltaics, lithium batteries and electric vehicles, industrial automation and smart manufacturing, as well as smart mobility.
The phase features an exhibition area of 520,000 square meters, with over 25,000 booths and approximately 12,000 participating enterprises.

The Xiamen delegation to the 138th Canton Fair will see 109 enterprises participating in the first phase, 280 in the second phase, and 311 in the third phase. Notably, 49 of these companies are first-time participants.
Meanwhile, the Xiamen delegation secured a total of 1,666 booths across all phases, with 226 in the first phase, 641 in the second, and 799 in the third.
Among these, 285 are brand booths featured across multiple sections, including household appliances, consumer electronics, building and decorative materials, healthcare products and medical devices, gifts and premium goods, artistic ceramics, luggage and bags, footwear, and sportswear and casual wear.

As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
