2025 Xiamen Alumni Economic Alliance Conference collaborates for future

The 2025 Xiamen Alumni Economic Alliance Conference on Nov 21 brought together nearly 400 alumni entrepreneurs and leaders. The gathering served as a platform to discuss the future of the alumni economy and foster new investment partnerships.
The event featured a collective move-in ceremony for building economy projects and a signing ceremony for sci-tech cooperation projects initiated by the Xiamen Alumni Economy Association.

A total of 39 projects were settled in key commercial buildings in Xiamen, spanning sectors including trade and logistics, financial services, electronic information, new energy, new materials, as well as cultural tourism and creativity. These projects highlight the role of the building economy in driving industrial upgrading.
Three deals aimed at advancing the alumni economy focus on strategic sectors — AI, big health, and advanced manufacturing — helping chart a course for next-generation industries.

This conference premiered an alumni enterprise exhibition, showcasing high-tech products from Xiamen alumni-founded entities such as Silan Microelectronics, Epiworld, GOPRO, and Xiamen Nanyang University.
As part of the conference, an alumni investment inspection tour was organized on Nov 22, focusing on three key themes: third-generation semiconductors, new energy and new materials, as well as aviation and marine economy.
The alumni delegates visited enterprises such as AKM Meadville, the Xiamen Center, XTC New Energy Materials, the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Zone, and the terminal area of Xiang'an International Airport. The tour provided opportunities to examine industrial platforms and exchange insights on business collaboration.

In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
